Mr. Schuck's Language Arts Class
Resources
Technology
After reviewing scores of online tools for students to use, I have chosen those that best suit both the needs of the students and the requirements of the assignments. Differentiation is allowable, also, to suit the needs of the students. If a student prefers a differnt online tool than those I have chosen, they may use it. Or, they may use paper, pencil, and markers if they like. For descriptions, samples, and links to the online tools students will use in this unit, please visit the Technology page.
Assessment
Objectives are used to measure -- or assess -- how well students learn the unit content. As well, the assignments themselves and the final summative assessment provide indicators of student progress. For objectives and the final assessment, please visit the Assessment page.
Rubric
As a tool for students to understand what is expected of them in regard to their written assignments, the Ohio Graduation Test Rubric -- or set of standards -- offers measured clearly written descriptions. Students and teachers may measure completed assignments against the rubric's standards to make accurate judgments about the quality of the work. For details, please see the Rubric page.
